I think everyone should read this book. It is so important for everyone to at least think about this kind of thing. I mean, this is something that could really happen! We have to think about our government and how much control they accumulate!

In 1984, the government controls everything. Everyone has large TV's with cameras in their living spaces, and the government can watch them all the time. You can't even say anything out of line. If you are caught, you are tortured until you decide you love the government. I'm not going to give anything else away, because this book is so damn good.

When Orwell wrote this book, 1984 was still in the future. Obviously, his prophecy has not come to pass, but it is still a good warning for our future.
