This is a great book, and not just because I think Jimmy Buffett is the greatest musician ever! Buffett is not the most phenomenal writer I've ever read, but this story of Caribbean adventure is right up my alley.

Joe Merchant is a former rock star, presumed dead, who keeps turning up in random places. His sister, Trevor Kane, "enlists" her former lover Frank Bama to help her investigate these rumors of Joe's survival. What follows is a crazy tale of flying boats, modern-day pirates and mercenaries, superstition, and all the other things that make the Caribbean interesting!

I don't think you'd have to be a parrothead to enjoy this book. It will suck you in and transport you to the islands, and you'll never want to look back!
