A Pirate Looks at Fifty
Author: Jimmy Buffett
Copyright date: 1998

Jimmy Buffett is my favorite musician, so I thoroughly enjoyed reading this autobiographical book. While describing the family vacation he is in the middle of, he tells stories about his past, his start in New Orleans, his plane crash, and much more. The whole book seems like one big yarn, and it's a good one.

As I noticed in Buffett's other books, he is a good writer, but not the best. To me, it seemed like the story rambled on in certain places. Sometimes I lost track and couldn't tell if Buffett was talking about his current travels with his family or about a story from his past. I suppose that's the way it was meant to be written, as one long, flowing yarn. Anyway, it was still an interesting book and definitely worth the read.
