Voting
I never knew it until now, but election time can be very stressful. Both sides are throwing so much propaganda at
you that it's impossible to know if you can trust anything you read. People pressure you and try to
influence you, but most times they don't tell you the whole story - even if they are telling the whole story, you
will probably doubt it anyway. Election time just seems like the biggest period of indecision you could ever imagine.
This was my first time voting, though, and I must admit, I felt really good when I put my card in the machine and walked
out of there. I breathed the free air and knew that I made a difference. It wasn't over, of course. There was (and
still is) plenty of news coverage going on, for both sides. But I'm glad I don't have to pay attention to it for a while.
This whole thing is like a big paper you have to write and turn in tomorrow. The whole time you're writing it you feel
like crap, but after you turn it in you're just glad it's over with, for better or worse. Voting is so very important,
but for me, I must admit, it was kind of a hassle.
