Sailing is what I most enjoy on this Earth. Sailing is the best part of being alive. I love sailing because I can not only behold
but also feel the beauty and the power of the ocean all around me. I love sailing because of its simplicity but also because of the
brilliance inherent in how it works. I love the lessons sailing teaches, such as patience, preparation, and hard work. I love sailing because
it exercises body and mind, teaches me to explore and find out how to do things on my own. I love sailing because of my experiences.
As much as I love sailing...I still don't have a boat! I have no sailboat and it drives me crazy! Pretty much all of my experiences
have come from borrowing boats from friends, etc. Hopefully I can get a nice little boat soon, then maybe I can update this part
of the site. Please, click the link below and read about my quest to get a boat.
My Quest
I wrote a lot about all of my sailing experiences, so I decided to put them on a separate page. You can click the link just below
to go to that page, or you can read the first sentence or two of each article and choose which one you want to read. By the way, a "yarn"
is a sailor's tall tale.

My sailing trip to the Keys is easily the most memorable trip of my life. Most of the Venture Crew and I drove to the Key West and then
spent a whole week on board a 65 foot schooner!

I went sailing once with one other guy in some bay in Alabama, I can't remember where. It was a cold, windy day, and no one wanted to even
touch the water...

I've been in one regatta before, with another guy. It was in New Orleans, on Lake Pontchartrain, in November! Once again, a very cold endeavor.
The first day was awful...

I don't remember very much about this, but Drew and I took a very spontaneous sailing trip once. It was about one o'clock in the morning...

Probably my funniest sailing memory of all time. It had been a long time since we had sailed last, and to be quite honest I've never been
good anyway...
